I DO wish Michael Wills would stop banging on about how much extra money his lords and masters have supposedly ploughed into Swindon.
Whatever the amount of cash, it pales into insignificance against the council tax taken since the Labour Government has been in power.
The last budget served as an election sweetener, it fools no one. If voted in for another term, council tax will shoot up, what then Mr Wills?
Education and the NHS have shown very little, if any improvement for all the cash thrown at them, due to incompetence and waste, mainly over staffing of non-medical and non teaching staff.
In the case of this council's performance, the present administration is busy sorting out the mess left by the previous administration.
They find now themselves stuck with duff department heads who have been allowed to under-achieve for years.
