OVER the past six weeks Carol Clarke, chief executive of the Kennet and North Wiltshire Primary Care Trust, has released to different newspapers hints of the possible direction yet another health review will take.

Her visions are incomprehensible, such as those in Malmesbury. How can a development for the sick over-50s be within three minutes of a doctor and not include an X-ray unit? Are they, as well as financing housing, expected to fund private ambulances to have this facility?

Is it not time patients had some honesty from this committee regarding their future intentions?

I am not able to discuss matters directly as in a letter dated November 29, 2004 the chief executive said: "I do not think there is any point in entering into lengthy discussions as it is clear that we are not going to agree and therefore it would be a waste of both your time and mine."
