I was disturbed to see the article entitled 'Police clamp down on raves' in the March 31 issue of the Gazette, as attached to it was a photo of a low-key Druid winter solstice ceremony held in Avebury last year.
The photo doesn't even look like a rave. Have you ever seen an old man with a long white beard in any depictions of raves? There was no music at this event, no alcohol and not even that many people as it was freezing!
No matter what we each think of other people's religious beliefs, there is no excuse for blatant disrespect like this. I doubt if I will be the only person to complain about this.
