ANYONE who wants to learn about the world of networking is invited to a free seminar.

The University of Bath in Swindon is holding the event and has invited movers and shakers from the Swindon area.

As well as the principles and concepts of networking, there will be a chance to hear about the different networks in Swindon and their target clientele.

The seminar, on Monday, May 16, 7.30-10.30am, is the latest in the Entrepreneurs South West series which has already given an introduction to several aspects of the business world including branding and the media.

Marc Braddock, the assistant director of business skills at the university's Oakfield campus in Walcot, said: "The idea is that there are network organisations in Swindon. They all focus on a particular kind of group, and so this is to create awareness of the networking opportunities in and around Swindon."

Among the speakers already confirmed are Dave Clark from NRG Networks, Stefan Barbaruk from Wessex Chambers and Christine Hardisty, the enterprise education development manager at the university.

Marion Parker-Mortimer from the Federation of Small Busi-nesses, will speak about women's networking groups.

There are also plans to have a representative from online network E-cademy and Swindon Businesswomen's Breakfast Club.
