77033-04County Ground, the joint leaders of Division 2, lifted the Chairman's Tophy with a 3-1 victory against AFC Gas from Division 1 after extra time.

In a mainly dour affair Gas took the lead in the second half through Danny Sealey before the County Ground hit back through Gareth Davies to take the match into extra time.

During that period Micky Solan and Phil Corcoran scored for County Ground to pick up the trophy.

In Division 1, Greyhound won their 13th Divison 1 title in a row, and 18th league title in total, after defeating Tran Staff 4-2 with goals from Tony Joyce, Kenny Hawkins, Shaun Terry and Paul Cooper. The Tran Staff replies came from Ben Kimber and Richard Purcell.

In Division 3, Fox & Hounds, who have not played a game since February 20, finished off their league campaign with a 6-1 win at Nationwide. Rob Cunningham with a hat-trick, Neil Lee with a double and James Williams were on target as was Phil O'Farrell for Nationwide.

In Division 5, Duckhams Chiseldon followed up their 3-0 win at Halcrow with a 6-3 triumph at FC Lava Lounge. There were doubles for Jon Cave-Ayland and James Bradfield and one each for Ian Worthington and Terry Adams.

This means that victory on Tuesday night against rivals Castrol Chiseldon will give them the title over Intel.

In Division 6, Arval Cricklade are finishing the season powerfully and recorded another victory, this time 3-0 at Intermach, through goals from Dave Kearley, Tom Fullalove and keeper Dean Miles from 30 yards out.

In Division 8, champions Green Baize Utd warmed up for next week's cup final by demolishing West Swindon Sunday 7-0. On the scoresheet were Ady Roper and Mark Jell with doubles, Danny Mason, Leigh Reeves and Alan Webb.

This result means that APS Mortgages are now assured of runners-up spot.

Cats made it seven wins in eight matches as they beat Stratton United 2-1, thanks to goals from Tony Niester and Bryan Halestrap.

The cup final between Green Baize and Green Baize United will be played at Hunts Copse Supermarine next Sunday, May 1, kick off 10.30am.
