A CHURCH has joined a regional chamber of commerce to forge better links with its town.
Holy Trinity Church, in Bradford on Avon, has decided to join the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce.
Canon Bill Matthews said: "We wish to show our interest in the wider community, of which we are a part. We think the world of business is an important part of the community and we want to network and be in touch with it.
"Tony Haffenden, our churchwarden, was formerly president of the local chamber and was particularly alive to the need for the church to be involved and committed."
Caroline Philpott, president of Bradford on Avon Chamber of Commerce, said: "I think it would give us nearly all aspects of the community from a chamber point of view."
