A BREAST cancer survivor this week said a big thank you to the team who diagnosed her.
Valerie Trowers, 54, visited the breast cancer screening team at Trowbridge Community Hospital on Monday with a bunch of flowers.
She said: "I wanted to say thank you to the radiographers for spotting my breast cancer. I went along to the appointment because I thought I should but I never thought anything would be wrong.
"Some people hesitate about going but it is very, very rare for anything to be wrong and even if doctors do find something abnormal at least you can get it treated." Mrs Trowers underwent a mastectomy and radiotherapy in 2002 and the experience has now led her to make every effort to achieve what she wants to in life and she has just written her first children's novel.
