MINI RUGBY: TROWBRIDGE under 10s have returned home after a successful weekend trip to the Isle of Wight festival.
They started with a very good win against a strong and physical Broadstreet team, the only try coming from Fraser.
Trowbridge came up against one of the tournament favourites in The Bank of England A team next Fraser again scored the only try.
The final pool game against Beckingham B was a one sided affair with Trowbridge dominating throughout to win 5-0. Beckingham struggled to even touch the ball in the first half.
Tries came from Peter, James and Jacob.
Trowbridge met Beckingham A in the semi-final and ran out winners by four tries to nil, with Fraser scoring two Peter and Josh scoring one apiece.
The final was between Trowbridge and BoE B. An immense amount of effort was put in from both sides with neither side gaining ground nor control.
With seconds to go BoE made one break and scored the winning try. It was the first time in 11 games that Trowbridge had lost or conceded a try.
Coach Gary Todd said: "I would like to say how proud I am of the team and how much I appreciate all the efforts of the parents and the supporters throughout the tour and the season."
