FORMULA One car racing ace Jenson Button reckons he will go places with Honda.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser before yesterday's Silverstone Grand Prix, the 25-year-old, pictured, was in no doubt that BAR Honda can deliver the goods.

He said: "Honda has done a good job and is making a lot of improvements. They will not give up."

Button has been with BAR Honda the motorsport arm of the Swindon-based car giant for three years.

In spite of a series of great displays in 2004, Button has yet to win a Grand Prix.

But he has faith in the BAR Honda team and thinks it won't be long before he and Japanese team-mate Takuma Sato are in the fast lane.

"Hopefully that day will be sooner rather than later," said Button. "They are driving forward."

Yesterday Button started second on the grid and finished fifth. Before the race he was awarded the Hawthorn Memorial Trophy for outstanding performances in 2004.

He is scheduled to appear at Honda's summer fair next weekend at the Science Museum, which is run for Honda workers and their families and expected to attract about 6,000 people.

Among the events planned this year is a demonstration by Asimo, Honda's robot.
