A judge at Winchester Crown Court today decided that the man who murdered Devizes dad Matthew Baggott will serve at least 15 years in jail.
Daniel de Costa was found guilty by a jury on Monday and today the judge put a 15 year tariff on his life sentence.
It means de Costa will serve at least that amount of time behind bars.
On Monday the jury despite hearing many hours of expert testimony decided that there had been no proof that de Costa, 31, of Kingsbury Square, Melksham, suffered from an abnormality of mind substantial enough to make him not responsible for his actions in stabbing Matthew Baggott to death on September 6 2007.
The jury had reconvened after less than an hour after sending a note to His Honour Judge Guy Boney QC they they were unanimous in their verdict of guilty to murder.
