Wiltshire Police are investigating the death of a 21- year-old man at 11.10pm last night in the Packway area of Larkhill.

The circumstances of the death are currently being treated as suspicious and a 29-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently in custody at Salisbury Police Station.

The road through the Packway outside local shops has been closed to assist the investigation and road users are advised to seek alternative routes. The road will be re opened as soon as possible.

An incident room has been set up and a team of detectives are conducting enquiries and local residents may notice an increased police presence.

Detective Chief Inspector Sean Memory who is the Senior Investigating Officer said: "I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of Larkhill between 10.30 to 11.15pm last night or who has any information which may assist the investigation."
