Families in Upavon are in for a hectic day on Saturday July 11 when the annual Villagers’ Day with events taking place from morning to evening.
The programme will begin at the upper playing area at 10.30am with children’s races.
Military armoured vehicles will be on display at Reeder’s Garage from 11am and the Ship public house will running a barbecue from noon.
The Antelope Inn will stage musical entertainment and there will be morris dancing in the village square.
Villagers have been invited to decorate their wheelie bins and judging will take place in the village centre between 12-2pm.
St Mary’s church fete will run from 2-4pm in the church grounds and will be followed by the traditional tug-o-war over the River Avon by the Andover Road bridge.
A children’s disco will then be held in the village hall from 6-7pm and the day’s entertainment will be rounded off with music in the Antelope and a yard of ale competition in the Ship.
