Shoppers in north Wiltshire will be able to park for free today in all district council-owned car parks.
The free car parking has been introduced to make it easier and more convenient for motorists and shoppers to park in Chippenham and Corsham.
Parking charges are being suspended over the next two Saturdays and means that motorists will be able to park for free tomorrow and again on December 20.
Parking machines will have signs fixed to them reminding motorists.
North Wiltshire District Council’s lead member for car parking, Cllr Ray Sanderson, said: “Free parking in the run up to Christmas received a great response when we tried it last year."
