It seems that there is always money to spend on new and often hideous new developments, such as the approach road from Marlborough, which could make any visitor decide to drive through, thus missing the marvellous architecture of the town.

Why is there no money to shore up the crumbling wall at the Crammer, for example? A very (potentially) beautiful spot for people to stop and admire, as is the Green; once one has picked one’s way over empty cans, bottles and dog poo.

Devizes deserves better than this.
