Children at Holy Trinity School in Calne are celebrating the opening of a new timber activity trail.
The outdoor adventure trail, which runs along the front of the playground, cost £15,000, half of which came from a lottery grant secured by the parents’ association.
At the opening of the trail last week chairman of the PTA, Adrian Earl, was thanked by the children for his work in obtaining the grant. Chairman of the school council Sam Owen said “It’s great fun to play on and everyone enjoys it.”
The school has eliminated the chance of playground squabbles by only allowing one supervised class to use the trail each day.
Headteacher Steve Heal said: “The timber trail has been a huge hit with the children, who can’t wait for the days when it is their turn.”
