A historic country house and estate near Wiltshire is under offer after being placed on the open market.
Tubney House Estate, located on Abingdon Road in Tubney, was listed at a guide price of £4.5 million before being reduced to £3 million.
The estate includes a Grade II-listed country house, a cottage, and a lodge, all set within about 71 acres of gardens and grounds.

Tubney House - which offers around 16,000 square feet of accommodation - has a history dating back to 1537 when it was passed to William Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester, for the foundation of Magdalen College.
In October 2004, it was gifted to the University of Oxford by the Tubney Trust and became home to the university’s Wildlife Conservation Unit (WildCRU).
The unit occupied the estate for 20 years before relocating in 2025 to the new Life and Mind Building on South Parks Road.
This move brought the unit together with the rest of the University of Oxford’s Department of Biology.
