Judges on the hunt for Wiltshire's tastiest food and drink

Producers across Wiltshire can now submit their entries for this year's Great British Food Awards.

Some of the country's most experienced palates, such as Raymond Blanc OBE, Adam Handling, Jack Stein, and Merlin Griffiths, will judge the competition.

These awards are known for celebrating regional traditions, ingredients, and the diversity of the UK's food and drink scene.

Winning a Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Grand Champion badge is seen as a mark of exceptional quality, as past winners can testify.

Locally, previous winners include Firefly BBQ, Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, Downton Distillery, Stonegate Farmers, and Kingsplay Wagyu.

Jenny O'Neill, head of the awards team, said: "Each year, the Great British Food Awards celebrate the remarkable talent, craftsmanship and innovation found across the UK's food and drink sector.

"We're proud to provide producers of all sizes with a platform to showcase their products to our expert judging panel.

"We can't wait to discover this year's standout products."

Entrants have until May 22, 2026 to submit their products, which must be made within the UK.

The competition is open to food and drink businesses from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with more than 60 categories up for grabs, including Sweet Treats, Charcuterie, Seasonings, Cocktails, and Kitchen Condiments.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will be announced on October 30, 2026, with regional winners and the Grand Champion being honoured at a special ceremony in November.
