Parking at many Wiltshire car parks will cost more than £1 an hour for the first time, if new proposals are adopted.
And at some of the county's most expensive car parks motorists will be expected to stump up £1.50 an hour to park.
Wiltshire Council's Liberal Democrat-led cabinet will discuss the proposals on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, chargeable hours will be extended from between 8am and 6pm to between 7am and 7pm at all car parks.
And Sunday parking will be brought in line with weekday and Saturday tariffs. The council already charges on bank holidays.
Wiltshire's car parks have variable hours for hourly intervals and all-day parking. Some are designed to ensure a quick turnaround of short-stay visitors, while others encourage all-day parking for people who work in the county's town centres.
Across the county, the average price increase is 19p for one hour, 34p for two hours, 48p for three hours, 41p for four hours, 49p for five hours, and 76p for all day parking.
