A collection of bespoke furniture designed by the King's cousin is going up for auction.

The pieces, crafted by David Linley, Earl of Snowdon, are expected to fetch over £4,000 at RWB Auctions in Royal Wootton Bassett.

The furniture comes from the estate of a Surrey man, who amassed many items from Linley, the luxury British home décor and furniture company founded by David Linley in 1985.

The collection includes a burr wood extending dining table, a pair of circular inlaid burr wood tables, an inlaid burr coffee table, seven standard dining chairs, a leather desk chair, and a sycamore fruit bowl.

David Linley, known for his use of fine, unusual, and exotic woods, stepped away from the business in 2022 after nearly 40 years.

He is the son of Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon.

Gareth Wasp, head auctioneer at RWB Auctions, expressed his excitement about selling the pieces, noting their "exceptional quality."

He described the auction as a rare chance to buy such high-quality items at a fraction of the retail cost.
