Over 100 homes on the edge of a Wiltshire town have been left without power after a day of heavy rainfall.
Residents living on the northeast outskirts of Chippenham have been hit by a power cut which occurred just after midday on Tuesday, September 24.
This comes just one day after Wiltshire experienced mass flooding and amber weather warnings.
102 households and 12 postcodes in the SN15 area in the East Tytherton, Kellaways and Tytherton Lucas areas have been affected in total.
This includes local churches, hotels and businesses.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Network (SSEN) say that this is due to a fault in the overhead network, and power is expected to be restored by approximately 4.30pm.
"We're aware of a power cut affecting 102 homes," said a spokesperson for SSEN.
"Our engineers are in the local area and working hard to get power restored as soon as possible.
"At this stage, based on initial investigations, we're aiming to restore power by 4.30pm."
The spokesperson added: "The cause of this power cut is a fault on our overhead network.
"This is the most common type of fault we see, and our teams are very experienced in dealing with these issues.
"In most cases, our engineers are able to get the power back on by simply replacing a fuse at the local substation, however if the fault is severe, it may take longer to fix."
