Starbucks says it has “no news” on an opening date for its planned branch on a Wiltshire High Street.
Last month the coffee chain confirmed it would open a new store in Chippenham, at one of the units in the former High Street Wilko building.
Since then, plans have been approved by Wiltshire Council for three air conditioning units at the rear of the site.
Applicant Cobra Coffee, a Starbucks UK franchised business partner, says these units will serve the new coffee shop.
Signage has also been installed in the shopfront advertising that the firm is now recruiting.

But potential customers will be forced to wait after Starbucks was unable to confirm an opening date for the coffee shop.
A spokesperson said: “We are always looking for new locations and opportunities to bring the Starbucks Experience to customers in the UK, but at this time we have no news to share about plans for Chippenham.”
At the time of writing, the former discount store remained empty, with work to start fitting out the unit seemingly yet to begin.
Starbucks has previously said it is looking forward to “bringing the Starbucks Experience to customers in Chippenham.”
Plans to install a new shopfront for the unit were approved by the council earlier this year.
