Customers have been left saddened after a Wiltshire phone shop announced it would close its doors this month.
Vodafone looks set to leave its Devizes branch in The Brittox after a sign was erected at the store warning residents it would be closing down on Friday, May 31.
The sign reads: “Sorry we’re closing. Our last day will be May 31, 2024.”
Another notice written in chalk advised customers their nearest Vodafone stores would be Trowbridge and Marlborough from June onwards.
The sign adds: “It’s been a pleasure Devizes! We’ll miss you.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard – A.A Milne.”

Many residents took to Facebook to voice their disappointment at the loss of the branch.
Sheila Mitchell posted: “That’s a shame, they were so helpful there.”
Nicholas Harper also posted: “I've popped into the shop several times and they've always been very helpful.
“I always prefer dealing face to face and this shop is very handy.”
The closure comes just months after another big chain, Clarks, left The Brittox.
Laura Williams said: “Oh no not another shop going from The Brittox.”
Vodafone has been approached for more information.
