On Sunday, May 19, 1,400 children from 26 schools came together at Marlborough College to take part in the Knight Frank Schools Triathlon.

The national series of events is organised by global youth charity Restless Development, which supports young people to encourage them to create a better world and address issues like climate change.

Children swam, cycled and ran in teams of four the equivalent distance of Bristol to Barcelona and raised £129,407.

Marlborough College has hosted the event since 2017, bringing businesses and over 2,000 attendees together to support the challenge.

One of the top fundraising teams, pupils Tanaka, Eddie, JJ and Wolf, raised £1,389 and the top fundraisers Alex, Freddie, Nicholas and Wenty from Caldicott School raised £3,016.

They said: “We are so lucky to have what we have now, to have all these opportunities and we want other people to have these same opportunities.”

Past events have raised £3.4 million for charity since 2015.
