The loved ones of eight-year-old Lennix have paid tribute to him ahead of his funeral.
Lennix Sutcliffe was killed after being struck by a car while playing in his street in his home town of Dilton Marsh on Saturday, April, 13.
The Pokémon-loving boy's funeral is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 22, but ahead of this, a touching tribute event was held for him.
Bike riders from Wiltshire and Dorset gathered in Westbury, near Dilton Marsh, on Saturday, May 11, before riding out in convoy to Weston-super-Mare, organised by Aiden-Jaii Newton and his wife Sammi Louise.
Food was provided by Aimi's Cafe Takeaway in Westbury.
Some wore blue hoodies with RIP Lennix on them, and blue smoke flares were then set off on the beach.
Those unable to accompany the convoy stayed home and attached Pokémon pictures to the railings of the park near where he died.
Lennix's mother, Jackie Meredith, has been incredibly moved by this event, and the reaction of members of the public in general.
She said: "We would like to thank everyone who rode or attended the memorial bike ride for Lennix from Westbury to Weston-super-Mare.
"As a family, we really appreciate all the support we have received from the community at this devastating time.
"We would like to offer a special thanks to Aiden-Jaii Newton and Sammi Louise Newton who runs the Wiltshire & Dorset bikers group for organising the event and all the other bike clubs that rode or helped.
"Lennix had a passion for motorbikes and would have been so excited to see all the bikes."
She added: "Once again we would like to thank the community for everything they have done, we do appreciate it."
On the day of his funeral, a procession, once again involving a number of bikes, will start at 2.15am from his home in Dilton Marsh.
A service at Holy Trinity Church will then begin at 2.30pm.
Proceedings will then continue at West Wiltshire Crematorium in Semington at 4.15pm.
For those who cannot, or do not wish to join the family there, the remainder of the service will be broadcast via video link to Dilton Social Club where the family will meet afterwards.
The family would be pleased if the community would like to line the High Street from the Church towards the railway bridge at approximately 3.15pm, so that as the funeral procession (including the bikes) makes its way past, families and villagers can pay their final respects.
Donations if desired will be given to Lennix’s school in his memory.
