A power cut has left one area of Wiltshire without electricity while they wait for engineers to investigate.

Calne's Main Road and several streets off this including Middle Lane, The Street, Pottows Field, Mill Lane and more have been without power since 4.58pm on Sunday (April 7).

The section of network which has been affected supplies 16 properties across six different postcode areas in SN11.

A spokesperson from SSEN Distribution said:"We are aware of a fault on our local network affecting several homes.

"This means that you and some of your neighbours will be affected by the power cut, but not all. You may notice some of your neighbours have power when you do not.

"It is not uncommon to see one in three homes affected.

"We are in the process of arranging engineers to get to the area to investigate the issue and attempt to restore power.

"We understand that this power cut is a faulty on our underground network."

SSEN has yet to confirm what time power is expected to be restored and says it will be able to provide an estimate after engineers have arrived on site.
