Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a major crash on the A342 near Devizes has left three men in their 20s hospitalised.

The crash, which took place at around 7am on March 20 on the A342 between Devizes and Rushall, involved a car and two HGVs.

The main road was closed for three hours while the driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was airlifted from the scene and two other men from the car taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The drivers of the two HGVs involved in the collision were thankfully uninjured.

The Serious Collision Investigation Team are now looking into the cause of the crash and Wiltshire Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

"We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving two lorries and a car on the A342 on March 20," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.

"Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 0030 of March 20.
