A male who was attacked by three people with a metal pole is missing after 'limping away from the scene'. 

Wiltshire Police have made two arrests in connection with the incident which took place in Malmesbury on Thursday night. 

At approximately 10.45pm a male was attacked by three people in Tetbury Hill and it is believed a metal pole was used during the attack.

The victim was seen limping away from the scene, but when officers arrived there was no sign of him and police have not been unable to identify him to check on his welfare.

A 15-year-old boy and a 40-year-old man from Malmesbury were located and arrested on suspicion of affray.

They remain in custody at Gablecross in Swindon for questioning and our enquiries remain ongoing.

Police have now turned to members of the public for more information as their investigation continues.
