A man has been banned from driving for three years after being caught driving under the influence of three separate drugs.

Stefan Barkham, 36, of Horse Leaze, Devizes, was stopped on Northgate Street, Devizes, on May 2 last year after officers spotted his vehicle having a defective brake light.

Barkham was subsequently found to have no insurance and a drugs wipe found him to be under the influence of three separate drugs: cocaine, cannabis and benzoylecgonine.

Barkham was wanted on warrant after failing to appear at Salisbury Magistrates' Court in November and was arrested earlier this month.

In a hearing on Tuesday Barkham pleaded guilty to the offences and received a three-year disqualification.

He is also required to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, pay a victim surcharge of £114 and court costs of £85.
