A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Wiltshire with strong winds forecast to cause “disruption” across the county.
The Met Office has warned that strong winds may cause disruption to travel and utilities across the UK, including large parts of Wiltshire.
A yellow weather warning will be in place from 6am on Sunday, January 21, until the end of the day, and will cover towns such as Chippenham, Trowbridge, Corsham, Westbury and Warminster.
The public has been warned that during this time there is a small chance of longer journey times or cancellations to public transport services if road, air and ferry services are affected.
There is also a small chance that some roads or bridges may be forced to close.
Residents were urged to take care and be aware of flying debris, which could cause injuries, while some damage to buildings is also possible.
The Met Office added that there was a slight chance of power cuts as a result of the strong winds that have been forecast.
This would have the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
