Three boys aged 16 and under have been arrested after burglars forced their way into a Wiltshire home, threatened the people inside and drove off in a stolen car.
At around 6.30pm on Wednesday (December 28), police responded to a 999 call about an aggravated burglary in Fisherton De La Mere, near Warminster, where raiders had demanded car keys and cash before fleeing in the resident's vehicle at around 6.30pm.
Officers later spotted the stolen car, then its driver failed to stop and crashed.
A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy have both been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, drug driving, and being in possession of a Class B drug.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of cannabis.
All three of the young suspects remain in custody.
During further investigation and searches carried out after the arrests, police found and seized a number of weapons, including an air rifle and pistols.
Wiltshire Police is now appealing for information about the burglary.
