Police are investigating reports of a teenage boy inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl in Trowbridge.

The incident is said to have happened at around near St Stephen’s Place at around 9pm on October 8.

The victim was extremely upset and shaken by the sexual assault and she is now being supported by specialist trained officers.

The suspect is believed to be the same age as the victim.

Police have released a CCTV image of a young person they would like to identify in relation to this incident and are appealing for the public to help with their investigation.

Due to the age of the person pictured, his face has to be blurred.

Detective Constable Deborah Laycock said: “We take reports of this nature extremely seriously and have been conducting extensive enquiries since the incident happened.

"We understand the suspect may be a child therefore we have taken steps to protect his identity however, we are hopeful that we may be able to gather information from the public from the image of his clothing.
