Search the Public Notice PortalA major supermarket chain has revealed plans to build new stores in Wiltshire towns over the next two years.
Aldi has confirmed they are looking to build new stores in Wiltshire as part of a £1.4 billion investment in around 500 additional supermarkets nationally.
While no sites have yet been confirmed, the chain is currently looking for new locations in Devizes, Bradford on Avon and Salisbury.
A search has been launched to find freehold town centre, or edge of town centre and retail park, areas of land suitable for property development.
Richard Thornton, communications director for the chain’s UK stores, said: “We want to make our great value groceries accessible to all, and to do that we need more stores, particularly in towns and areas that don’t have an Aldi already.
“The areas we’ve identified in our latest list are places where there is demand for stores and we are committed to continue investing until we can bring our quality products and unbeatable prices to as many people as possible.”
