Well, here we are now back to the new school term after the school holidays off, which we enjoyed not living on a rat run.

All things back to chaotic normal in Station Road, Whittington – the main route for Oswestry to Whitchurch etc.

Perhaps Helen Morgan MP would like to put herself to some good use and visit here at school drop-off times and see for herself the mayhem we have to endure each day.

The battle for the HGVs and other heavy traffic to get through the cap parking (anywhere, even on yellow lines). Irate lorry drivers, no doubt frustrated to be going about their business when these car drivers coming into the village will not give way to let them through. Thoughtless parking with no regards to safety by these drivers.

Steve Charmley told us that one the new car park was built by the new estate behind the school on the A5 things would improve with this problem – if anything it has only heightened the problem, as more houses bring more congestion.

Pavements are being crashed by lorries having to mount them to get through and have been marked out for repair AGAIN.

The constant bedlam on a Friday night also of cars being dumped outside homes so the drivers can get to the chip shop. Another headache to endure, again a lot of illegal parking, and car engines left running while they wait for their order.

Something needs to be done before a serious accident happens on this stretch of road – and so we can hear outr televisions with a bit of peace and quiet.

I have lived in this village since the age of 10. I am now an OAP.

I can honestly say this village is on the road to decline. Everywhere used to be taken care of and people took great care on the frontage appearance of their homes but unfortunately there are these now who have no pride in the uplkeep of their homes. Sad but true.
