Police have launched a hunt for a gang of thieves who stole several motorbikes worth tens of thousands of pounds.

A raft of bikes worth around £50,000 in total were taken from a property in The Shoe, North Wraxall, between 12.30am and 2am on Saturday, August 26.

Investigating officers believe around six or seven people were involved in the heist.

The bikes taken during the theft include two Yamaha 65 MX bikes, a Yamaha 65CC MX bike, a Yamaha 85CC MX Bike, a Yamaha 250CC MX Bike with 24 on it, a Suron electric bike and a KTM mini electric bike.

Police have now urged any witnesses to come forward with information which may help their enquiries.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a number of motorbikes to the value of £50,000 in the early hours of Saturday morning.
