A Wiltshire pub which closed its doors to customers two months ago is up for sale.

The Sir Audley Arms, at Audley Road on the outskirts of Chippenham town centre, has been on the market for around £475,000 since owners Admiral Taverns decided to sell.

While the search for a buyer is ongoing, the pub has been closed since the previous tenants left around two months ago, according to estate agent Gareth Hatton.

Mr Hatton, who is managing the listing for Everard Cole, said: “The pub is now closed until a purchaser can be found.

“It’s on the market as a freehold sale and has been for around four months… we’ve had a few bits of interest but not quite at the desired level yet.”

The pub, which is just a five-minute walk from Chippenham town centre, can seat around 100 people and boasts a paved beer garden to the rear.

Inside the 3,969 sq ft venue is a bar area which houses a pool table and darts board used by local teams.

A staged area with a projector offers the possibility of live music or screenings of sporting events.

Any potential buyers looking to change the use of the building have been urged to contact Wiltshire Council.
