The occupants of a Suzuki launched coffee and cream at children as they drove past them, say police.
A silver Suzuki Jimny had been driving past some children in Chippenham, on Friday April 21 between 3pm and 4pm, when the driver stopped.
The passenger then threw the food and drink at the youngsters through the window.
Police are now hunting the vehicle’s occupants and have launched an appeal for any witnesses or those with CCTV footage to come forward.
They are particularly interested in anything the public may have seen in the areas around the B4528, including Redland and Brook Street.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses or CCTV footage after a passenger in a vehicle threw food and drink at children as it drove past.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV footage or witnessed the incident, or similar incidents, or may have seen who was driving to please get in touch with us.
“We are particularly interested in the areas around the B4528, Redland or Brook Street.
