MEET Riley and Hardy, Dogs Trust's gorgeous dogs of the month, who need rehoming in Wiltshire.

Riley is an eight-year-old Lurcher who "loves training."

He is a "very bright boy" who would love to show off his ever-growing list of skills, and he would love to continue to learn.

Riley is described as being fond of his soft toys, he will "quite happily entertain himself" but also "enjoys involving his human friends."The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

He would ideally like his own secure garden so that he can enjoy "zooming around."

Riley has gained confidence around other dogs but can still show some reactive behaviours towards unfamiliar dogs so would ideally like to live in a quieter area with no other dogs nearby.

Five-year-old Cocker Spaniel Hardy also "loves to keep busy exploring and making everything into a game."

He has the typical profound Spaniel sense of smell and can "sniff out any source of water to splash in on a walk."

He also loves his toys; "the squeakier the better!"

Hardy is looking for an adult-only home with no other pets but can happily have dog friends to walk with.

He has shown some resource guarding but has been working hard with the training team to follow a plan to improve this. The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

Due to his ongoing training, potential adopters must be able to visit him multiple times at the centre before confirming the adoption.

Charity Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity, with an emphasis on its non-destruction policy.

Their main goal is to work "towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction."
