A new development boasting nine town centre homes in Devizes is set to be completed by Christmas 2023.

Developers Gaiger Bros Ltd. confirmed that the Brewery Corner development, at the junction between Northgate Street and New Park Street, is due to be fully built by this winter after construction began last November.

The original estimated completion date for the project, which began with the demolition of an old workshop building, had been listed as autumn of this year.

But a Gaiger Bros spokesperson told this paper that poor weather conditions saw this pushed back.

Once completed, the new residential buildings, opposite the historic Wadworth Brewery, will consist of nine dwellings.

The price of the properties ranges from £270,000 to £370,000 and each will have allocated parking spaces with electric car charging points.

Numbers four to nine of the development are “Passivhaus Homes” meaning they are extremely energy efficient and will feature solar panels.

Strakers estate agents, who have listed the properties, claimed they are “designed and built with energy efficiency, comfort and space in mind.”

A Gaiger Bros spokesperson added: “This is a very central location that is in walking distance of the town and will have parking spaces as well.
