A highly anticipated play park has opened in Chippenham this week.

The brand new Arc Park was opened at Westmead Playing Field on Wednesday, February 8, by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity (CBLC).

The park, which is adjacent to the The Arc climbing centre, skatepark and cafe, will offer a bespoke play area for local children to explore.

This includes a wildwood tree house, hollow log, play hut, sand tower, and two slides for children to enjoy. The park was created by Touchwood Play, a Bristol based natural outdoor play equipment specialist.

CBLC CEO Phil Tansley said: ““Improving the welfare and wellbeing of our community is the main goal of our charity. Our trustees wanted to use some of our resources to provide a destination where the entire family could go to be active and have fun together.

“The amazing new play area is a wonderful addition to The Arc’s facilities and offers a great space for local children to explore, engage with one another, and have fun in a natural environment.”

The Arc, which is run by the climbing academy, also boasts a cafe overlooking the new park which is open to the public seven days a week.
