FAMILIES can will have the chance to meet newborn lambs at one of Wiltshire's most popular spring events next month.

Wiltshire College has announced the dates for this year’s lambing weekends, which will give attendees the chance to see many animals up close at the Lackham campus.

Events will take place on the weekends of March 18 and 19, and March 25 and 26, and will run from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 2.30pm.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

The events have attracted large crowds in previous years. More than 10,000 people visited the campus across four days last year.

Attendees will also be able to watch the dairy herd being milked and visit the calves, pigs and donkeys at the campus farms.

Phil Steans, the campus’ farm and estate manager, said: “Everyone is looking forward to our 2023 lambing weekends.

“We started these events nearly 30 years ago and people absolutely love them. Over the years we’ve grown from a one-day activity to four events across separate days due to the interest.

“These events really are a great day out for all the family and we will have a range of exciting activities going on across all four dates, so please join us if you can.”

Tickets must be bought in advance and are £10 for adults and £8 for children.
