WOMAD Festival is returning to Malmesbury next summer and discounted tickets are now on sale.

The festival will once again be held at Charlton Park after 40,000 people and 120 performers descended on the venue this year for the event’s sold out 40th anniversary celebrations.

Festival organisers are following this up with “another global party” from July 27 to July 30, 2023.

Festival director Chris Smith said: “WOMAD always astonishes with the brilliance and diversity of musical talent from all around the world.

“It’s easy to forget the unity we all share as humans, and every year WOMAD is the perfect reminder of what we share.

“The line-up this year will, as always, showcase musicians that will open minds and ears to a kaleidoscope of musical talent.

“There really isn’t any event as welcoming and eye-opening as WOMAD.”

While the 2023 line-up will not be released until the new year, early bird tickets went on sale on Wednesday, December 14.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

For a limited time three day tickets will be available for £200 and four day tickets will cost £240.

WOMAD has hosted over 300 festivals across six continents during the last 40 years, featuring more than 10,000 artists.

The 2023 homecoming at Malmesbury will be preceded by events in Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Spain next year.
