The Co-op has confirmed plans to relocate its Market Lavington store to a new, larger spot in the village.
The current store is on the High Street, but the supermarket chain has announced plans to build a new shop at The Spring.
It means a larger store built with wider aisles, a larger range of products available, a bigger instore bakery and 15 dedicated car parking spaces.
Locals people will have an opportunity to voice their opinion on the move.
A Co-op spokesperson said: “Co-op is committed to serving and supporting the community and has shared details of its proposal to relocate to a new and improved store with enhanced range, choice, and services to better serve members and customers in the area.
“The views of the community are important to us, and there is an opportunity for local residents to let us know what they think and, share their views.”
Co-op say that because the plans are to increase the size of the village’s store all current staff will retain their jobs and more jobs will be created for the local community.
If the planning application is successful Co-op plans to relet the current High Street building.
Affected customers have received an outline of the plans and can have their say by returning the attached form.
