POLICE investigating an assault in Chippenham have today released images of two men they wish to speak to who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

They said they are making progress with their enquiries and are urging anyone with information to get in touch.

The incident itself happened in Marshfield Road at around 1am on October 22, when a man in his 40s was approached by a man who asked him for a lighter.

During this exchange, a second man assaulted him from behind, kicking him to the ground.

As a result of the assault, which left the victim with a fractured collar bone, he also suffered multiple epileptic fits.

Police said: “We now have images of two individuals we are keen to speak with as we believe they may be able to assist us with our enquiries. If this is you, please get in touch as you may be able to help.”
