Maysees the third birthday of Wiltshire Concrete, originally opened as a concrete company but as they enter into their third year are now also involved with the recycling of aggregates.

Material is now crushed and screened at their base at Hopton Park as a substitute to quarried material. The recycling equipment is also available for hire.

Tracey and Kevin McQuaid and Phil and Jeff Brown still maintain a hands-on approach to the business with the help of a 45 strong team of staff including HGV drivers, office, plant and maintenance staff.

The four directors are delighted by the success of the business and put this down to the dedication of the team and turning what started as a concrete company into a one stop shop for its customers.

Last spring saw the launch of their bagging operation, where DIY customers can order quantities of building and garden products in small quantities delivered to their door within 24 hours of order.

Among the newcomers to the Hopton is Catleys. Catleys Gas Centre provides a wide range of fires and cooker (both LPG and natural gas), and alfresco appliances including barbecues and patio heaters are in the new showroom.
