There have been calls to remove some traffic cones on a motorway just out of Chippenham.
The cones line a stretch of the road, with little explanation according to residents- and no work appears to be being executed in the area that has been linked to them.
A resident who has had enough of the situation on the road has spoken out on a local Facebook group, asking their local MP to take action.
They stated: “Michelle Donelan MP, I hope you can shed some light on the ongoing road works out of Chippenham on the A350?
“For weeks now, the cones are in place yet no work is being done.
“Accidents are occurring, especially in rush hours.
“I thought there was some ruling introduced where companies can be fined if works were set up and work is not being actioned.
“I hope you can enlighten me and more so, get the company responsible to remove them until work has started please.
“There is also no contractor name.”
A spokesperson for Michelle Donelean’s office said: “Michelle is aware of the issue, and we are in contact Highways England, and are awaiting their response as to when they might be removed.”
