PASSENGERS travelling on the M4 were given a fright when their coach started swerving.

Wiltshire Police's Roadside Policing Unit was called to the coach on Sunday afternoon after reports about the erratic way it was being driven.

When they got there they discovered the driver, who was able to safety stop the coach, had become unwell while at the wheel.

After initial first aid checks from police officers at the scene, the poorly driver was taken by ambulance to hospital.

A new coach was arranged for the stranded passengers.
