POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an incident in which a woman was chased through woods.
He was arrested yesterday on suspicion of stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress and remains in police custody.
The victim was walking in Hermit's Cave Woods just over the border near Tetbury at 1.15pm when a man purposefully began following her on Thursday, July 28.
More than 20 people contacted police after they released an e-fit of the suspect on Tuesday
Non-uniformed officers from the specialist Vanguard response team have also been patrolling Tetbury since the terrifying incident.
The investigation continues and anyone with information which could help identify the man should contact Gloucestershire Police quoting incident 270 of July 28.
