If you’re in need of something to look forward to later this month, here’s how you can take part in an event which may loosen you up a little.
You can go wine tasting in St Mary’s Church in Devizes on August 19 for £20 ticket.
There is set to be an ‘eclectic mix’ of wines chosen by renowned local vintner Casper Bowes, starting from 6.30pm and ending at 8:30pm with nibbles also available.
Co-founders of Bowes Wine, Casper and Victoria, describe themselves as a ‘healthily wine-obsessed husband and wife team’ and started the business in 2002.
Their idea was to focus on sourcing new and exciting wines from both the classic and lesser known regions of the world, with both young and older vintages in their sights.
One of the people organizing the event said: “The tasting will enable those imbibing to go away with a better understanding and appreciation of a wide range of specially selected wines.”
Tickets can be purchased through St Mary Devizes Trust website at: stmarydevizestrust.org.uk where you can also find information about future events in the church and learn about the plans to transform the building into a community arts venue for future generations.
