A man from Chippenham has been charged for threatening to kill a police officer in the town of Swindon.
William Robert Goffett, 27, of Redlands Close in Chippenham has been accused of threatening to kill PC Scott Young.
The incident allegedly took place on January 1, and he was remanded on unconditional bail.
Goffett was set to face Swindon Magistrates’ Court on July 28.
A verdict following the hearing has not yet been publicised.
If found guilty, he would be in breach of section 51(1) and (2)(b) of the Crime Disorder Act 1998.
