An independent café in Malmesbury has just been given the seal of approval by the town’s community.

The Summer Café has been voted as the town’s ‘Favourite Shop of the Year’ by members of the ‘Our Malmesbury’ Facebook group.

This year, lots of residents were keen to have their say- with more than 1,100 votes counted in total.

The ‘Malmesbury’s Favourite Shop of the Year’ has been running for two years in the town and aims to give recognition to its local businesses.

Moderator for the Facebook group Ben Thornbury, 17, said: “This was well deserved by The Summer Cafe and is a very popular cafe in the town.

“The admin team have decided to run this for two years in a row now and it has been very popular and gives each shop and business lots of promotion.”

The Summer Café has become increasingly popular with residents, and offers plenty of classics, including sandwiches, paninis and homemade cakes.
